Mazie Julia Seeman was the daughter of Henry and Eva Seeman, born on 19 Sep 1894 in Colorado. At about age 11, her family moved to Freeport, Illinois, and later for a short time to Dubuque, Iowa. Her father set up permanent residence in Rockham, South Dakota, where he set up a medical practice, in 1904.
About 1913, Mazie struck out on her own in Sioux City, Iowa, where she was a student. By 1915, she was working as a stenographer for the railroad.
She married Walter Bryant about 1921; he was the son of John and Anna (Truxes) Bryant, of Sioux City. Walter, a World War I army veteran, was engaged in the "trade and transportation" business in Sioux City. She later worked as a bookkeeper.
They moved to Harlingen, Texas, where he sold automobiles. Walter died there on 28 Oct 1959, and Mazie died there as well, on 12 Jan 1981 at the age of 86, and she was buried in Mission Burial Park in San Antonio, Texas.
