Henry "Henry" SEEMANN was born on 12 Jan 1856 in Clinton co., Iowa,
to
Detleff and Elizabeth (PETERSEN)
SEEMANN. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Washington twp., Jackson co., Iowa.
He worked as a laborer, in the household of
his father, "Dodleff Seeman"
John Henry
SEEMANN and Anna BRYANT, Jackson co., Iowa native, were married on 13 Dec 1883.
They spent at least 6 years living on the homestead of his
father in law, Mr. George Bryant. Anna
BRYANT (daughter of George BRYANT and Elizabeth GANE) died from
complications of La Grippe on 22 Feb 1892 in Sterling,
Jackson co., Iowa, less than a month after giving birth to their only child,
Orville. Orville lived just two weeks. She was buried on 27 Feb 1892 in Fairview
Cemetery, Jackson co., Iowa.
He lived in Iowa twp., Jackson co., Iowa in 1928. He died
appendicitis on 4 Sep 1928 in Clinton, Clinton co., Iowa. He
was buried in Sterling, Jackson co., Iowa.

Henry Seeman, of Spragueville, was in the city Monday, and
reports that his barn was struck by lightning on the evening
of the 7th inst. and quite badly wrecked. The building was
insured.
