Adolph was born 28 Jul 1897, the last of the children of Andreas and Anne.  He married Agnes Johanna Junstinsdotter Brevik in 1921, and they resided with her parents, Justin Meyer Jørgensen Brevik Frendal and Oline Marie Evensdotter in Fosnes.  On 10 Jan 1923, they boarded the Oscar II at Kristiania, Akershus, Norway, bound for the United States.  They arrived at New York on 22 Jan 1923, with their baby daughter Mary, and set out for South Dakota.

They lived on various farms in eastern South Dakota while raising their twelve children.  On 17 Nov 1949, Agnes passed away after a series of strokes, and is buried at Graceland Cemetery in Madison, South Dakota.

Adolph married Lise Barbara Klungseth, his childhood friend, on 03 Aug 1952 in Huron, Beadle co., South Dakota.  He filed his Petition for Naturalization, obtained his citizenship on 21 Jul 1953, and Lisa obtained hers on 02 Aug 1960.

Adolph passed away on 12 Jan 1967 in Huron, South Dakota, and Lisa on 12 Jun 1998 in Rapid City, South Dakota.  They are buried in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Beadle co., South Dakota.
